What you will need:

1 unpeeled banana

Rum flavoring

Dab of low fat margarine

Brown sugar

Print this Page

Steps:

1. Have an adult turn the oven on to broil. With some ovens it is best to leave the oven door open slightly while broiling.

2. Cut the banana down the center, leaving the ends alone so that you can put the ingredients inside the banana.

3. In the middle of the banana, put two to three tablespoons of brown sugar, a dab of margarine (preferably low fat) and a teaspoon of rum extract.

4. With the help of an adult, put the banana on a baking sheet and place it in the oven. Broil for five minutes or until golden and slightly crispy, or to desired texture.

That is a Good Idea!

Every weekend, our family alternates which one of us gets to be the "Decision Maker" for the whole weekend. The kinds of decisions include what to eat for dinner, what movies to watch, or what activity the family will do for the day. Mom & Dad always have veto power, but we only use it when absolutely neccessary. The kids feel that family decisions are more fair, and that they have a say in what they are doing.
